La Caravella Restaurant is located just a few minutes' walk from San Marco Square. It opened in the Saturina Hotel at the beginning of the 1960s. The interior decor of the establishment is styled after the interior of an ancient galleon, complete with a huge ship's steering wheel situated in the center of the room. Thanks to both the director and the staff of the restaurant holding the culinary traditions of the Venetian Bay in high esteem, the establishment has been recognized by the Michelin Guide.

My wife and I came to La Caravella 7 years ago on our honeymoon and loved it so much we thought we would take our two daughters this time. From the moment we stepped into the resturant all the staff treated my wife and daughters like royalty, they couldn’t do enough. From pulled all their chairs out and providing cushion to my daughters. The food was as incredible as we remembered, each dish was explained and the knowledge of the wine was second to none. Thank you to everyone for making yet another perfect and memorable meal for my family. We will be back again and would recommend to anyone looking for a great experience whilst in Venice, whether you are a couple or family with young children. Grazie Mille.
