The construction of the Jesuit Church began at the end of the 16th century by the order of the Jesuits. The church was designed and built in the Baroque style. Prior to this, the Venetian Republic did not allow the order to have its own church. Therefore, the Jesuits tried their best to create one of the most luxurious buildings in the city. The building resembles a Latin cross with a wide nave. The facade of the church is adorned with sculptures of the 12 apostles, columns, carved angels, and various saints. Inside, white and green marble, unusual for such works, was used for the decoration of the church. The ornate stuccowork, done in white and gold, captivates with its uniqueness and originality. The Jesuit Church, officially named Santa Maria Assunta, is also of interest as a museum. Here, one can see Titian's "Martyrdom of Saint Lawrence," paintings by Tintoretto, frescoes by Fontebasso and Dorigny.

Está cerca de la parada del vaporetto F. Nove. Aunque ha coincidido que estaba de reforma aún nos ha gustado más por tener la oportunidad de ver las condiciones en las que se realiza este trabajo. Las columnas con los motivos florales son impresionantes y el estilo barroco de su altar con la mezcla de colores verdes, grises y blancos es sorprende. Dispone de una colección de cuadros muy buena. El ambiente dentro es tranquilo y sentarse a disfrutar del arte que guarda es todo un regalo.
