LO RARO QUE ENAMORA En pleno Paseo de la Alameda, 10, Valencia, se esconde un lugar donde lo extraño se convierte en placer: Somos Raro. Un espacio que, desde el brutalismo naturalizado de su diseño hasta la filosofía de su cocina, invita a jugar con los sentidos y a descubrir que lo raro, en realidad, es no dejarse sorprender. La propuesta gastronómica que probamos es un auténtico viaje. La croqueta carbonara, con guanciale crujiente y yema curada, fue un bocado delicado y a la vez intenso, de esos que abren el apetito y la curiosidad. Le siguió un brioche de cordero jugoso y aromático, equilibrado con salsa de yogur especiado, pico de gallo y cilantro, que nos llevó de la huerta mediterránea a la frescura de Oriente Medio en un solo mordisco. Los mejillones Thai, al vapor con leche de coco, cítricos y albahaca, fueron pura ligereza y contraste: el sabor del mar abrazado por la suavidad de la leche de coco y el frescor de los cítricos. Pero si hubo un plato que nos conquistó por completo fue la carrillera de ternera guisada en vino rancio, acompañada de un cremoso parmentier de patata, setas enoki y daikon encurtido. Una combinación redonda, elegante y con un toque japonés que aportaba frescura a la contundencia del guiso. Aunque en nuestra visita no llegamos al postre, merece la pena mencionar su icónico “tiramisuke”, una fusión entre el clásico tiramisú italiano y el tradicional cremaet valenciano. Una creación que refleja a la perfección el espíritu viajero y juguetón de este restaurante. El ambiente acompaña a la perfección: un local con personalidad propia, moderno, vibrante y con un servicio cercano que sabe explicar cada plato como si fuese una pequeña historia viajera. Somos Raro es un restaurante que rompe esquemas sin perder la calidez. Una experiencia distinta, creativa y deliciosa, de esas que se quedan en la memoria. Gracias a todo el equipo por hacernos sentir parte de este viaje gastronómico; sin duda, repetiremos la experiencia.
