"The Three Brothers" is an allegorical name for a trio of buildings pressed closely together, each with a long history tracing back to the 15th century. Today, it houses the Center for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and an architectural museum.

This ancient complex, "The Three Brothers," is located in the Old Town on Maza Pils Street. An old legend tells that the houses were built by three men of the same lineage. The "elder brother" constructed for himself an austere building with two stone benches at the entrance, the middle one occupied spacious rooms with a hall and large windows, embellishing the facade with the inscription "Glory to God Alone," and the youngest brother mounted above his door a mask that wards off evil spirits. All "details" of the legend have been preserved to this day, though they have undergone a minor reconstruction.
