Another landmark of Prague is St. Vitus Cathedral, which can be seen from almost any point in the city. It is not only a masterpiece of Gothic architecture but also a true spiritual symbol of the city. Its construction began in the mid-14th century, with the first architects being Matthias of Arras and Peter Parler. It was their efforts that led to the erection of the altar, the ring of chapels, and the foundation of the main bell tower. The construction of the cathedral lasted almost six centuries, with the final phase completed in 1929. For a long time, the building silently witnessed coronations, and to this day, its altar houses a mausoleum with royal tombs in its crypt. Special attention should be given to the Great South Tower, which holds the largest bell in the Czech Republic. The tower is open to visitors, and climbing to a height of 90 meters, you will be amazed by the beautiful views of not only the cathedral precinct but the city as a whole. The St. Wenceslas Chapel, also part of the architectural complex, is famous for its frescoes and semi-precious stones.

Находится строение на небольшом холме и его шпили виднеются издалека. Готический собор Святого Вита впечатляет своей грандиозной архитектурой. Мне особенно понравились удивительные витражи. Храм довольно популярен среди туристов, потому на входе в него может быть небольшая очередь.
