I stopped by here as a gig I was going to was running late. So unplanned. I quickly looked at the Michelin guide app and found this place around the corner. It did not disappoint.
Firstly, the staff there were lovely. The head of the staff was very confident and friendly - he made me feel like I was in good hands and I was confident the meal was going to be great.
Menu arrived quickly along with the specials and they were quick in taking my order.
I ordered the tomatoes, anchovy and walnuts starter dish, the pork main and the basque cheesecake. Every single one was fantastic.
The flavour in the starter was unreal. The only thing to make it better would be a small portion of bread to soak up the beautiful tomato juice left over on the plate.
The pork main was amazing. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The corn base was very inventive and the mustard? Seeds gave the dish a proper kick.
And who doesn’t love a basque cheesecake??
I’m not usually in this part of london but if I ever am again, I’ll definitely be back and recommend others to try.
