Traditional ale house with a reasonable selection of, mostly Kentish / Southeast London, cask beer. The room is fairly basic but not as small as I was expecting. Lack of outside space, on a warm/hot day, is disappointing but beyond their control (I expect). Truly excellent beer quality and good, friendly service. I traipsed a long way from West Ham but underground, bus, and foot but it was worth the journey! Very highly recommended.

A fabulous Real Ale House, excellent Kent beers at a reasonable price. Friendly atmosphere (and a real plus is no mobile phones, you can text ! 😀). They do bar snacks or ploughman's.
