Several architects worked on the design of the Church of Saint Catherine, completing its construction by the mid-nineteenth century. The church did not appear out of nowhere - there used to be a chapel and a fragment of a tower here that was part of the city wall.

The building's facade is striking with a clear intertwining of several styles. Here, the proud Renaissance, the cold Gothic, and the frivolous Romanesque school have found their eternal "refuge." Thanks to such an unusual combination, the church has acquired a dignified and even sublime appearance. The altar of the sanctuary is adorned with a painting titled "The Assumption of Saint Catherine," and the white plaster on the walls provides additional lighting and a sense of "freshness" to the interior.
