Old restaurant about 300 m from river bank, at edge of shopping area. Didn’t have much expectations as I walked into the restaurant — old decor not much diners. But I was pleasantly surprised. Had a bowl of goulash soup and beef stew with barley. Soup was quite commendable with generous amount of tender meat. It was far better than the one I had at Cafe Gerbuerd the previous day. But I agree with another reviewer that the meat was probably pressure cooked separately as there wasn’t that much beefy taste in the soup. Beef stew had lots of chunky soft beef in a tomato-paprika sauce. Taste great and also wonderfully satisfying on a blustery cold day. I won’t comment on the accompanying barley as I am no big fan of barley cooked in any style. All in, good joint.
