About

The Ethiopian restaurant Kokob is located in the western part of Brussels, housed within one of the capital's ancient buildings that has survived through numerous wars and preserved for the modern times. It is practically impossible to miss the restaurant among other establishments - just take notice of the entrance adorned with stone urns filled with "evergreen" desert plants.

Kokob restaurant offers its numerous visitors an impressive selection of traditional Ethiopian cuisine. At the center of the hall, there's a large chandelier composed of three tiers. The interior is dominated by orange and yellow hues, reminiscent of the scorching sun of Ethiopia. Each table is traditionally complemented with aromatic candles, enhancing comfort and encouraging conversation.

Personnel sympathique qui explique le concept du restaurant. Nourriture de qualité à manger avec les doigts. Agréable moment de partage. Et en plus, c'est très bon. Bonne découverte !!

Very nice and cozy restaurant, went for dinner here. Very tasty food, great introduction to Ethiopian cuisine. The staff there are really friendly and happy to explain you what they serve in detail. Really a nice place to go with your loved one, friends or colleagues. Something very unique and hard to find. Top! 👌🏻

I have been to this place few times. And now I am a bit confused. We made a reservation MONTHS in advance. And we even received a reminder of our reservation via email. On the day of reservation we arrive to the restaurant and find it closed. No signs, no email. The phone call would not connect. Just closed shutters. Little search online indicated that they have announced months ago that they are going bankrupt and will close down but with no indication of the exact date. So honestly not sure. Either they did go bankrupt and closed their doors (which is sad but still cancel your reservations then). Or they are still open and just didn't bother to tell us they will be exceptionally closed. Either way it is not a great experience.
