About

If you conquer all 366 steps leading to the viewing platform of the Belfort tower, the historic center of Bruges will unfold before your eyes in all its glory. It is said that it is here where the story of Belgium was born - among the columns, cobblestone pavement, and the glow of lanterns.

The squares of Burg and Markt, like two brothers, are situated next to each other, stunned by the endless crowds of tourists. The Basilica of the Holy Blood mesmerizes the wandering gaze with its naves and alcoves, while the Palace of Justice proudly displays its Gothic spires and stained-glass windows. The historic center is under UNESCO protection, as a true gem of Bruges, surrounded by rows of shops and the stone giants of centuries-old architecture.

Beautiful and lively square in the center of Bruges! Surrounded by charming medieval buildings, cafés, and horse carriages – it truly feels like stepping into a fairytale. I loved the atmosphere, especially the sound of the bells from the Belfry tower. It’s the perfect spot to relax, take photos, and enjoy the city’s historical vibes. Highly recommend visiting in the morning for a peaceful walk or in the afternoon to enjoy a drink on a sunny terrace. One of the most iconic places in Belgium – don’t miss it if you’re in Bruges
