It's good enough the lasagne was tasty and warm. We went 2 nights 1st was good but a family was sat beside us and the man was so loud as if he was trying to impress! He had the staff running after him you'd have thought his family were the only customers, I felt sorry for the staff - on the 2nd visit the food was burnt on one side and of course that was face down.. the staff didn't come back after the food was served even to ask if we needed anything else!

Had lunch here. Was busy when we arrived approx at 2.10pm. Prawn pizza was good and so was the calamari rings.

I had such a fantastic experience at Pizza Express Brighton, and a huge part of that was thanks to Callum, the manager. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome. He has that perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness — checking in to make sure everything was just right, but never in a way that felt forced. You can tell he really cares about both his team and his customers. The atmosphere felt relaxed yet well-run, the service was seamless, and there was a genuine warmth to the whole evening. It’s rare to see a manager so visibly involved and attentive without being intrusive. Callum clearly takes pride in the restaurant, and it shows in every detail — from the way the staff work together to how quickly any request is handled. Honestly, he turned what could have been a simple meal out into a lovely experience we’ll remember. Thank you, Callum, for making Pizza Express Brighton feel a little bit special!
