I was honestly baffled when I saw the string of 1 star reviews complaining about rude staff and overpriced food and drinks (or just saying nothing at all) – I've been going here regularly, at least once a week, since shortly after they opened, and my experience is quite the opposite. This has become my new go-to cafe, it's so nice having another small business to support rather than a big chain like the Costa that was previously there. The staff have always been so friendly and sweet, and the selection of food, cakes and ice cream are incredible. It's also all incredibly reasonably priced. You're looking at about £3-4 for a drink and £5-7ish for the food. Honestly that's just normal cafe price? If anything, it's on the cheaper side. People will happily go to trendy chain cafes and pay £8 for a sandwich and £5 for an iced latte, but it seems small business are essentially expected to give away their things for free. I really recommend the spinach & feta pastry, and the cappuccino freddo! The slice of pastry they give you is huuuuge as well.
