Stopped in here on Sunday and was pleased with the atmosphere busy but not overcrowded. We managed to find a spot without any trouble. Drinks were served quickly and the staff seemed on the ball, which always makes a difference. I went for the roast and it was well presented with plenty of flavour, while my partner enjoyed the starters. Only slight gripe was a dish on the menu being a little misleading in its description, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. A relaxed place for a weekend meal, would definitely return.

Where do I start? We have just celebrated our wedding reception at the Royal Oak. I can 100% recommend this and if anyone is looking for a venue in the south coast that offers a relaxed vibe, look no further. Chris in the kitchen helped us develop a custom menu to suit us and our guests and all we have heard about is that it is the best food they’ve had at a wedding. The Caesar salad got a special mention more than once! He was organised, knowledge and friendly. He really made the whole minefield of menu choices a breeze Anna helped us plan our day from start to finish. She is an angel and has such an eye for it. I had every faith from our first meeting that she understood our vision. And was as passionate about our day as we were. I feel like I’ve walked away with a friend in Anna. She is a natural. Everyone commented on the friendliness of the bar staff. No one had to queue for a drink and the cocktails on arrival were perfect. All in all, a faultless day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much!!!
