Popped in on a wet midweek afternoon. It was quiet and chilled. Subdued lighting gave a cosy vibe but the greeting was bright and cheery. Ordered a pint of Landlord (excellent) and a burger. The burger arrived quickly. Fries were delicious. Hot, and glassy on the outside. There was a side salad, which was fresh and crunchy. The dressing was delicious and made the salad as much of a star as the burger and the fries. The burger was fantastic. Tall, but not unmanageable. Bacon crisp and appetising. It contributed as much to the texture as the taste. All in all, perfection. The playlist was a mix of 60s hits at a low volume and provided great background ambience. Can't recommend the place highly enough.
