AquaDom is not only a famous landmark of Berlin but also the largest aquarium in the world. It is a structure designed from acrylic glass in the shape of a cylinder, which accommodates 1 million liters of saltwater. The height of the structure is 25 meters, with a diameter exceeding 11 meters, and its weight equals 2,000 tons.

Inside the aquarium, there is a two-story glass elevator installed so that visitors can observe its inhabitants. In total, the aquarium houses 97 species and more than 1,500 fish. The elevator takes a whole 15 minutes to ascend and then descends just as slowly. So, there is plenty of time to carefully inspect everything.

Four divers carry out the daily feeding and cleaning of the aquarium. AquaDom is located on the premises of the Radisson SAS Berlin chain hotel, so its guests can enjoy it around the clock and completely for free. However, visitors will need to purchase a ticket, but this also gives them access to the "Sea Life" oceanarium, located on the same premises.

Heute schließt das Sealife in Berlin für immer. Es war ein sehr schöner Ort mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern. Alles sehr schade und ein großer Verlust für das sowieso schon langweilige Berlin!
