About

Joan Miró Park, also known as Parc de l'Escorxador, was once a slaughterhouse, and the idea of it being a place for city residents or visitors to Barcelona to relax was unimaginable. Today, families with children happily stroll here, and tourists take photos next to the unusual sculptures.

Joan Miró Park is divided into two thematic levels. The first level features a green area with an unusual combination of palms, eucalyptus trees, and fragrant pines. On the second level, you can find many skillful monuments, depicting people and animals in an allegorical form. The most famous sculptural composition is "Woman and Bird," adorned with colorful tiles and becoming a kind of calling card for Barcelona.
