Check out this incredible bowl of ramen. You ever seen chashu like this? Pork this thick should be in a rap video. Char-grilled chashu, juicy smokey, and rich. Egg noodles just this side of al-dente, perfectly chewy but nowhere near chalky. The shoyu miso broth was... Shoyu-y and miso-y in even proportion. Sorry, I'm no ramen expert. I just looked for the thumbs up sign and pointed confidently and I was not disappointed. I can tell you it was both light and filling. Tangy, savory, and deeply satisfying. The restaurant is owned and operated by Suzuki Norio who left a life as a sarariman in Japan to become an actor and chef. The walls of this wood paneled noodle house are covered in autographed photos of Suzuki-san with actors such as the late Michael Clarke Duncan and Game of Thrones actor Michiel Huisman, and inexplicably, cartoons of the actor/chef as a tomato or an octopus. In his own words: “Dreams Aren’t Meant for Looking at” This ramen isn't either.
