Op zoek naar een authentieke pizzeria waar je die échte krokante pizza krijgt zoals in Italië, kwamen we na wat speurwerk op Google Maps terecht bij Maccione Pizzeria Antwerp. Gelegen in het hart van het charmante zuiden van Antwerpen, omringd door prachtige gebouwen en een artistieke sfeer. We werden vriendelijk verwelkomd door Alex, een man met duidelijk passie voor zijn vak. Ontspannen en hartelijk overhandigde hij ons de menukaart en liet ons via foto’s de pizza’s van de maand zien. Onze keuze viel op een Margherita met ham en een pizza van de maand met burrata. De eerste hap bevestigde wat de foto’s al beloofden: fantastisch. Perfectie zoals het hoort, een krokante bodem, verse ingrediënten en pure smaken. Na het smullen kwam Alex met een glimlach de tiramisu van het huis aanbevelen. We besloten er samen eentje te delen, en dat bleek een geweldige keuze: royaal van portie, zijdezacht van structuur en een absolute smaakbom.
