Sfeervol en trendy adres met heerlijke borden. Start met qua prijs gepeperd zuurdesembrood en boter (18), verfijnde Thaise ceviche met papaya en chili (21), knaller van een toast champignon met truffel (20) en oké Iberico kroketten met pickles (18). Royale Caesar salad zonder kip smaakte prima (25), boterzachte en elegante jonge poussin kip met bbq saus en soya (31) die prijs rechtvaardigde, aangename groene asperges met polenta en parmesaan (12) als bijgerecht. Overdadige baked alaska met fior de latte (lekkerste van de melk), aardbeien coulis, amaretto en merengue (15). Tiramusu du jamais vu: aan tafel bereid met eerst de lange vingers, dan de bevochtiging met koffie en marsala, mascarpone en cacao erbovenop, zeer smakelijk (15). Cocktail Modern Mary was zeker oké (14), French Bloom mocktail ook (13), champagne Jean Plener version classique in orde (14). Fles water 75 cl kost volgens menu 8 euro, kostte er 9. Met drie 217 euro is waar voor je geld, al kan de rekening hoger oplopen: we bestelden maar 2 hoofdgerechten en dronken geen wijn. Bediening vlot maar bij momenten iets te assertief: je hoeft zuurdesembrood niet te presenteren alsof het ganzenlever is en je vraagt of mensen klaar zijn met hun maaltijd; mijn potje pickles was nog niet leeggesopt toen het werd afgeruimd:)
