So much special stouts, unknown to the Belgians. Our mind is expanding more and more the more we drink here. They have very special and unknown beers. It's a great place to discover stouts but expensive.

Billie's Beer Bar is a great destination for beer lovers visiting Antwerp. Cozy interior in old school Belgian style, really friendly and helpful staff (whassup Jupp!), and a great selection of beers. Styles were all over the place when I visited, from a nitro German pilsner to IPAs, Geuzes, Tripels, kettle sour, even a Flanders Red on nitro. Just check out the pics to see the variations. And that's just the taps, they have a pretty extensive bottle list as well. I sat at the bar and made some new friends (hallo Anna und Till!) and of course tried beer after beer... and soon it was time for food. The braised beef cheeks were fantastic, much like the classic Flanders beef stew. They even have Vegan Bitterballen, and at least one vegan main course. All in all this was a great visit and I'm looking forward to coming back someday.
