We made sure to fin to 100% to not end in a GREGGS! My partners sister lives in York and had been to another branch of this company and really liked it, the map said just 7 minutes away, we parked in the car park just before it , I stayed in the car and asked for either a Cornish or steak bake & either a Yorkshire curd tart or vanilla slice. Returning in couple of minutes, with a stake bake for me , and what looked like a thick deep slice of a sausage roll to me , a deli roll I think , it was gone so quickly I didn't get chance to try it! My stake bake was still warm , with just the right amount of flaky pastry and very tasty beef filling, the Curd tart was a good one , not too dry and not soggy, filling with raisins and had a sort of refreshing light lemon taste . Partner had a couple of Easter biscuits, We drove back past the back of the racetrack and a left turn just after the Bishopthorpe Palace , and sat by the river where you can hire boats out.
