We visited on Tuesday afternoon (19.08) on a day trip to York. The shopkeeper was so lovely, and I had one of the best cheesecakes of my life (caramel and apple). I would return just for the cheesecake!

Proper cheesecake, the type of cheesecake that makes you think you won't be satisfied with supermarket brands ever again. Its been a while since we have found cheesecake this nice, you know its good when you are still talking about it days later and remember the taste. The staff in the shop were lovely, a very small shop but that's part of the Shambles experience. Its such a shame we live so far away otherwise I think we'd be regular visitors.
