Discovered this gem of a pub while staying close by. Lovely staff who showed genuine interest in our travels as did the locals. Also must be the cheapest beer I have come across while travelling in the UK. Do yourself a favour and drop in for a couple. Only downside no meals available.

What a delightful bar we found on our first visit to York. Such friendly staff and customers-we felt like old friends very quickly. No food service but not needed with such well priced drinks. If you are staying nearby do yourself a favour and drop in.

What a gem of a find! Tucked away with a little beer garden and lovely staff. Good beer prices and a friendly welcome, what more could you want!
