I was pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews. We almost never went in. BUT the barmaid was really welcoming and locals friendly. Actually barmaid one of best ever.

Stopped in for a drink on our first visit and were welcomed by the new landlord and his wife as well as by the friendly regular locals who stopped to speak to our little blind dog. A variety of music playing along with Sky Sports, others playing darts and pool so something for everyone. A very pleasant afternoon.
