Found this hidden gem on a blog while I was looking for unique pubs in York when I visited in March. I had to take my husband when we returned to York in July. I have only been in for drinks so cannot speak to the food, but they have a good variety of beer on tap and ciders. We loved the unique atmosphere and were able to hold a conversation without shouting. The bar staff was friendly and efficient. Worth the trip in!

A quick drink on a hot summer day. The cellars were cool and stunning, beautiful brick arches. Good choice of drinks. Very comfortable surroundings. Staff friendly and helpful.

Highly recommend the fruit ciders, taste just like juice! My favourite is peach and mango cider
