Wir waren zum Frühstück dort gegen halb zehn, sonntags. Gerade noch rechtzeitig bevor es keinen Platz mehr gab. Draußen war es sehr gemütlich hergerichtet. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl an Frühstücksleckereien die schmackvoll hergerichtet würden. Die jungen Bedienungen waren nett und charmant 😀

„Café Fred – Ein Frühstücksprotokoll“ Es begann harmlos: ein warmes Buttercroissant, doch daneben ein großer, einsamer Block Butter. Ich nahm an, es sei ein regionaler Brauch, vielleicht ein stummes Zeichen der Nürnberger. Das Croissant war gut, hätte aber gern mehr Ausdehnung in den Raum – und meinen Magen – haben dürfen. Die Früchte trugen nur die äußere Form von Früchten; geschmacklich blieben sie eine höfliche Illusion. Der Joghurt ergab sich damit in eine stille Fadheit. Das gekochte Ei erschien wortlos, ohne die Frage nach seiner Beschaffenheit, und Salz musste ich eigens erbitten – als wäre Würze eine besondere Konzession. Die Umgebung: eine Seitenstraße, schlicht, ohne Zierrat.
