I’ve been a loyal customer for over 13 years, and Starbucks has truly been a joy in starting my mornings on the right note. Throughout my career, I moved frequently and visited many Starbucks locations across the country. No matter where I went, I always felt confident in the quality and service. Now I’ve settled in Washington, DC and unfortunately my experience has been disappointing. At the Harris Teeter location, I’ve often found them either closed during posted business hours (6 a.m. to 9 p.m.) or out of key items I regularly order. Because of this, I started going to the New Jersey Ave location instead. However, I’ve consistently had issues there as well. On six different occasions, my drink orders have been prepared incorrectly. While I always try to kindly ask for corrections, I’m usually met with frustration from staff, which I understand given the rush hour pace - but the accuracy concerns remain. For example, today I ordered a Chai Pumpkin Latte with cold foam, and what I received was completely different. I don’t enjoy having to raise concerns, but I feel this has gone on long enough. I know mistakes happen, but the pattern here makes it difficult to rely on either locations.
