The name itself traces back to an inn that operated in Warsaw back in the 19th century. During the communist era, the restaurant was a meeting place for important officials, and now, under the bright chandelier lights, blushing flags, and stern portraits of leaders, you can feel like part of the party elite. Absorbing the gastronomic "hits" from the former USSR, GDR, and Yugoslavia, the tavern offers tastes such as jellied pork, Grandfather Lenin's pancakes, and capitalist salmon. The selection is truly vast, making the journey through time well worth it!

Wszedłem do restauracji. Zajęło dobre parę minut bym mógł usiąść. Gdy wiał wiatr dym papierosowy był wyczuwalny w stolikach blisko wejścia gdzie siedziałem. Zamówiłem rosół przystawkę, mięso w sosie chrzanowym i lemoniadę. Napój i przystawka przyszła w miarę szybko, lecz danie główne zajęło nieakceptowalnie długo. Zupa była przeciętna, lecz mięso, sos i ziemniaki były bardzo dobre. Miejsce jest dobre pod względem jedzenia, ale oczekiwanie na jedzenie zajmuję zbyt długo. Przynajmniej kelnerzy mili. Dał bym 2.5 ale nie mogę więc najniższe 3 gwiazdki jakie kiedykolwiek dałem.

Przepyszne jedzenie i świetna obsługa! Składniki świeże, naprawdę bardzo smaczne jedzenie i szybki czas realizacji. Duży plus za historię miejsca w formie papierowej i wystrój miejsca. Polecam i sama wrócę napewno!

We had a great evening - it's a packed and buzzing atmosphere in what feels like a historic cabin setting with various historic props on display (and some might even be genuine!). Photos by the door of the various celebrities who had visited over the years, and it still doesn't disappoint. Really fun eg each section of menu split between Proletariat and 'Dignitaries and Borgoisie'. Menu varied and interesting though one dish served lukewarm hence dropped a star.
