About

Not far from the Old Town of Vilnius, there is a site that seems to be nestled at the bottom of a gigantic bowl - the Hill Park is surrounded by four natural hills, each with its own history.

The myth about the Table Hill claims that it serves as the table for giants, as it has a flat and spacious summit. Meanwhile, according to ancient tales, the hill of Gediminas became the burial site of the prince - the founder of the Lithuanian capital. The polish military leader Kaspar Bekesha rests on the hill of Bekesha. Since he was not a Catholic, priests forbade his body from being buried anywhere else.

The legend of the Hill of Three Crosses tells of a brutal execution of monks by pagans, whose bodies were thrown into the river at the foot of the hill.

But apart from myths, there is nothing frightening about the park, on the contrary - it often hosts fairs, cultural festivals, and concerts.
