An important distinction of the Groeninge Museum from its "counterparts" is the absence of any storerooms or closets where artworks would be stored. Every exhibit is on public display in the viewing halls, which have specially designed lighting. The light falls on the canvases from above, ensuring there are no glares that could hinder the viewing experience.

The Groeninge Museum is divided into several sections. One is dedicated to 15th-century paintings, which attract a huge number of tourists and locals. The next hall is devoted to the Baroque and Renaissance eras with their unique paintings. A separate section is reserved for the works of the famous Hieronymus Bosch. The Groeninge collection is constantly being expanded and new masterpieces stand alongside the old ones.

A very nice museum of fine arts. Sufficient explanation to help a layman like me to get around. Didn’t have time to finish as I was too hungry. Will definitely visit again to finish it.
