Anyone wanting to experience a very authentic Finnish lunch experience, this is the place to go. For university students (with valid credentials), it's only 2.95€. For others, 13.20€. For kids under 12, it's 6.6€. Food includes a somewhat extensive salad bar and a choice of usually 3 mains, bread and spreads as well as flavoured waters/milk/juice. Outdoor seating area is lovely. Location is very central too. I suppose for an authentic Finnish meal experience, this place is somewhat of a well-kept secret.

Jos etsit Tamperelta hyvää ja rentoa lounaspaikkaa, Frenckell & Piha voisi olla sun juttu! Se on ihan siinä Frenckellinaukiolla, eli sijainti on tosi kätevä, kun oot asioilla keskustassa. Huom. täältä saa myös opiskelijahintasta lounasta! Paikka on selkeästi panostanut lounaaseen, sillä se on auki arkipäivisin maanantaista perjantaihin puoli yhdentoista jälkeen iltapäivällä kolmeen asti. Sunnuntaisin pääsee myös syömään vähän myöhemmin, mutta viikonloput ovat suljettu. Eli jos kaipaat viikonloppubrunssia, tämä ei ehkä ole se oikea osoite. Kannattaa tsekata heidän nettisivut, jos haluat nähdä, mitä lounaslistalla on tarjolla tänään. Jos nälkä yllättää ja haluat jotain helppoa ja hyvää arjen keskellä, Frenckell & Piha on varteenotettava vaihtoehto!
