Βρέθηκα στο εστιατόριο μαζί με την τότε Γερμανίδα σύντροφο μου. Είχαμε έρθει από Cochem στη Stuttgart, μόνο και μόνο για ελληνικό φαί. Εγώ ως πολύ περίεργος με το φαγητό, έμεινα απόλυτα ικανοποιημένος. "Κράκουλη" ρετσίνα... Χόρτα... Γαύρο... Καλαμαράκια... Και..και..και. Το περιβάλλον μέσα που κάτσαμε, μου θύμισε κουτούκι στην πλατεία θεάτρου κοντά στην Ομόνοια. Ξετρελάθηκα. Το σέρβις έγινε από ένα παλικάρι που δε τον έλεγες σερβιτόρο βάση εμφάνισης... Σβέλτος, ευγενέστατος, εξυπηρετικός. Μου θύμισε τόσο μα τόσο πολύ την Ελλάδα μας. Οι τιμές εκείνη την ημέρα ήταν απίστευτες και οι μερίδες κανονικότατες. Έφυγα ντίρλα από τις ρετσίνες και με ένα ευτυχισμένο στομάχι.
