Stuttgart

The historic center of Stuttgart is very compact. Start your walk at the ancient walls of Altes Schloss – a 10th-century castle and the Württemberg museum. Pass through the arch to Schillerplatz – the best place for a photoshoot against the backdrop of Gothic buildings. In the courtyard of Stiftskirche, find the pyramid-shaped fountain. A beautiful view opens up from the roof of the Art Museum.

Try farm products at the main city market. Appreciate the scale of Neues Schloss – the royal residence in Baroque style. Take a stroll through Castle Square and the park with fountains and sculptures to the Ferdinand-Leitner Bridge. Make sure to visit Stuttgart's center both during the day and in the evening: the most important landmarks have spectacular lighting.

Across from the entrance to the train station begins Königstraße – one of the longest pedestrian streets in Germany. It is the center of the fashionable life with shopping malls, restaurants, and museums. A stunning view of the city opens from the observation deck of the television tower (height 216 m). The best place for a romantic walk at sunset is the park on the top of Mount Karlshöhe.

Car enthusiasts must visit the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche museums in Stuttgart (vintage cars and future project concepts). To get acquainted with the winemaking culture, head to the vineyards of Weinstadt. Architects visit Weissenhofsiedlung with the Le Corbusier Museum. Romantics head to Schloss Solitude – a royal hunting palace with a magnificent park.
