Der Kriegsbergturm selber ist ein knapp 10 m hohes historistisches Türmchen (Baujahr 1895) auf einer Aussichtsplattform mit Bänken. Der Turm selber ist nur an wenigen Tagen im Jahr geöffnet. Ein Besuch lohnt sich aber wegen der schönen Lage in einer kleinen ruhigen Grünanlage mit Bänken. Durch die Bäume hat man schöne Sichtachsen in die Stadt - von der Straße unten toller Blick Richtung Bahnhofsareal.
