Perfekt ställe för en AW! Personalen var otroligt trevlig, drinkarna var fantastiska och ostronen utsökta - en miljö där man gärna stannar lite längre än planerat.

Dinner at the Bistro: Not Quite the Flight I Hoped For The bistro at Sparrow occupies the same space as the breakfast area — a compact room, dimly lit, packed with tables, and buzzing with hopeful conversation. There’s a touch of intimacy to the ambiance, yes, but when every seat is filled, it starts to resemble row 21B on an overbooked SAS flight — close, personal, and slightly too familiar. I sat wedged between strangers close enough to join their conversation without ever introducing myself. The room filled up quickly, and with that came a crescendo of voices. Charming, perhaps, for those who thrive on social energy — a little less so for anyone seeking a peaceful dinner. I ordered the veal tartare as a starter and what I believe was a chicken dish as my main — though a glance at the current menu suggests it may have been something else entirely. Regardless of species, the kitchen seemed in no rush. The tartare took over an hour to arrive (closer to 75 minutes, in fact), and when it did, it was more salad than substance. The flavor? Utterly forgettable. As for the main course — it simply didn’t come. It was forgotten. Only after I gently reminded the staff did a plate swiftly materialize: a simple protein (chicken or goose? hard to say), rice, and sauce. The taste was… cafeteria-level comforting. Not offensive, but closer to “Tuesday at the petrol station diner” than “Parisian bistro at a boutique hotel.” The saving grace of the evening? A genuinely kind and professional waitress who sincerely apologized for the mix-up and did her best to smooth things over. Her warmth is the only reason I didn’t leave with a single star and a scowl.

Weird that you are being told in a cut off fashion that the meat will be as the chef sees fit when raising that you would like it medium/rare. In contrast, younger staff is nice, but has no idea who ordered what in a party of three and very few guests overall. Level of what can be seen as arrogance and that could be ”ok” at extraordinarily good places is not matched neither by service, nor by food. Asparagus starter was a salad with hidden small pieces of asparagus. Pepper steak well seasoned and pain perdu and glace au four tasty. Medium experience. There are better places in Stockholm in the same price range.
