My family (me, my wife, and our two adult daughters) were visiting Stockholm and we decided to celebrate my wife’s birthday at Essence. We were met by Chef Stefan upon entering the restaurant and were seated. The format of the restaurant is one big table (up to 12 guests) with Chef Stefan preparing the food in front of you. Before you dive into each course, Chef explains where the ingredients were sourced and how he prepared the food. It almost feels like you were invited to a friend’s kitchen. Each dish was amazing and the care and preparation that went into the dishes was evident. We can’t recommend Chef Stefan’s Essence enough!
