Decided to try Sweden's most popular, home-grown burger place on a recent trip. It did not disappoint. The ordering kiosk was simple and easy to use. The staff was friendly and helpful with great personality. The interior, while simple, was clean and neat. (Given the location near the central train station, one would normally expect a loud, messy environment. That was not the case.) I took off one star because the interior itself could use some more personality. (Better design elements that reflect the location and/or company identity.) I did not check, but some MAX merch may be something worth looking into. The burger was juicy, delicious, was not over or under cooked, and would give a larger, more well-established chain like In-N-Out a run for its money. The fries were crispy and delicious, and that's fine if they are right out of the fryer and eaten in-store or immediately. However, I would deduct 0.25 stars for the cut. The fries are a little too thin, leading to them cooling down to fast. (Not good for take-out orders.) There's a sweet spot for French fry thickness vs. cost vs. taste. I would suggest cutting the fries slightly thicker, so they do not cool down too fast, stay crispy and do not become floppy and limp. The menu is varied, and I wish now that I had tried one of the milkshakes to go with my meal. On the plus side, they offer free refills and their ice machine (which not all fast-food places in Europe have) dispenses the "good" ice. (Pellets) Americans reading this will know what I'm talking about.

I would say this is the Nordic version of McDonald's and it's eventually better than McDonald's. The Double Burger is pretty good but it needs more sauce, their fries are ok as well, preferred to have cheese topping, milkshakes are yummy and there are quite a few interesting flavours as well. The price tag of McDonald's but you get better burgers here.
