We tried churros here two days ago and they were fairly tasty. They offer two types of churros, but I don’t think we got the ones that locals usually eat. Honestly, the quality felt average. The place looks historic (dating back to 1860 or so), but we didn’t notice anything particularly special in how the churros were prepared or in the dough itself. After all, churros are just fried dough, and I’m not sure you can elevate that to something extraordinary. The oil and churros served to us were fine, not rancid, and definitely edible. Service was good, the staff were smiling, and overall it was a pleasant experience. Still, I’m not sure I would come back a second time, though I also don’t know if there is a better churrería in the area.

Lovely lunch here, served by Jose C. We both had tuna salad which was delicious and fresh orange juice, very refreshing on a hot day. Great atmosphere, people watching on this busy street. Excellent service from our waiter Jose C. Would recommend.
