Last week we made our second visit to Park Tavern since its reopening this winter and it was even more enjoyable than our first. We were a bit concerned because the menu had changed since the opening, but the food itself and the service were both very good. Everything was far more organized than our previous visit. We began with cocktails that were served promptly and were very good. Both of us started with a tomato salad that was perfectly dressed with some crispy bits that added dimension to excellent tomatoes. I had pappardelle with a vegetable Bolognese. The pasta had a perfect consistency and the bolognese sauce had a great breadth pf flavor with hints of spice. My wife enjoyed the steak frites. While those French fries were very good, they were overshadowed by the jw potatoes we had ordered. These chunky, crispy fried potatoes represent one of my favorite potato preparations. Our meal was finished with strawberry shortcake that was exemplary in its balance of berry, cream, sauce with a touch of basil and smooth cake. Both of us look forward to returning
