Back2Back? More like Never-Back. This spot in Nob Hill looks inviting from the street, but the experience inside didn’t match the curb appeal. The entrance felt cramped and disorganized, and we were seated next to the patio door where cold air rushed in as servers passed through. Tables are packed so tightly that staff had to squeeze behind our chairs and bump elbows just to get by. Food was uneven. The mushroom dish was the highlight, but the Brussels sprouts were overly sweet and the pizza simply isn’t worth ordering. Just goto Del Popolo, Jules, Angies, or even Joyride. They’re all far better pies with skilled chefs with stories and meaning behind their creations. Service felt rushed and scattered, with little attention to how guests were doing. Overall, it was more chaotic than cozy, and I can’t imagine going back2Back for a second round.
