About

Twin Peaks in San Francisco, spanning 34 acres, offers a remarkable blend of entertainment and natural beauty. With a high Google rating of 4.7, it's praised for its breathtaking 360-degree views and well-maintained observation areas. As the last habitat for the endangered Mission blue butterfly, it's a unique spot for nature enthusiasts to explore native plants and animals. The scenic drive to the top is perfect for those looking to capture stunning photos, especially at sunrise or sunset.

Ample parking makes the journey convenient, but it's wise to remain cautious of car break-ins. Don't forget to wrap up warmly, as the winds at the summit can be chilly. Twin Peaks is both pet-friendly and suitable for children, offering hiking trails that families and their furry friends can enjoy together. For the best experience, aim for a clear day to maximize the spectacular views of the city and skyline.

Twin Peaks is a must-visit if you’re in San Francisco. I recently went and, even though the views were partially hidden by the city’s signature fog, it was still absolutely breathtaking. There’s something magical about watching the skyline slowly reveal itself through the mist—it adds a mysterious charm to the whole experience. The drive up is smooth and scenic, and I was pleasantly surprised by the ample free parking available at the top. It made the visit convenient, especially for families or anyone short on time. The short paved trails around the peaks are perfect for a light walk, and there are multiple vantage points to soak in panoramic views of the city, bay, and bridges (weather permitting). Even on a foggy day, you can still enjoy the wind, open skies, and a sense of peace away from the hustle and bustle below. For those who love photography or just need a quiet spot to reflect, Twin Peaks delivers. The only reason I’m not giving it a full 5 stars is the unpredictable weather—fog can obscure the best parts of the view, so timing your visit is key. Still, I’d definitely go again, especially at sunrise or sunset. Highly recommend adding it to your San Francisco itinerary!
