About

Thousands of years ago, an incredibly powerful glacier moved and descended with a terrifying noise, leaving behind the modern gorge of Sigmund-Thun Klamm. A winding ribbon of crystal-clear waterfall cuts through the dark rock, breaking into coarse water droplets, which, as is known, can even erode solid pebbles. Austrians boast that it is here that the largest and most powerful elevator in all of Europe is located, which, according to their stories, can lift an entire bus to the top of the gorge. No one has verified this claim to this day, but there was no need to do so, as for tourists, wooden bridges with railings are enough to see the Kapruner Ache lake and admire the local landscapes.
