La ubicación y el entorno, en general, es hermoso; tiene el encanto de las ciudades monumentales. Unamuno parece salir de una piedra casi al final de la zona histórica y cerca de la Plaza Mayor, donde descansa en un banco la escultura Torrente Ballester, con el encanto del realismo y el casticismo. Pero la escultura de Unamuno, ni realista ni abstracta, no parece acorde con la figura a la que representa.
