The construction of this building is based on a religious-military orden called the Calatrava sect, which fought against Muslims in Ciudad Real. Construction of today's building was completed in 1784. Don't leave without seeing Joyería-Souvenir AGAU at Calle Libreros 6, ten minutes away from here, on the street where the historical university fachada is located. Their Salamanca and Spain collections are incredibly beautiful. All of their products are high-quality jewelery and handcrafted, it is not possible to find similar ones anywhere else. Their fountain pens are handcrafted by a famous and award-winning artist, and they also have very special ceramic products.
