About

The Church Of Sancti Spiritus is a remarkable attraction in Salamanca, Spain, located at Rda. de Sancti-Spíritus, 24. Established in 1268 as part of a former convent, this stunning Gothic church draws admiration for its blend of traditional Gothic architecture with intricate Plateresque decorations. Visitors can explore two distinctive chapels, including the notable Capilla del Cristo de los Milagros. Expertly reconstructed in the 16th century by artisans Juan Gil de Hontañon and Juan Álava, it elegantly marries Gothic and Renaissance styles. Inside, you'll find exquisite artworks and historically significant burial places of illegitimate members of the royal houses of León and Castilla. As part of the UNESCO heritage site 'Old City of Salamanca,' the church boasts an impressive 4.6 average rating on Google and welcomes visitors with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring everyone can marvel at its architectural and historical splendor.

Es interesante. El coro bajo tiene un bello artesonado que invita a contemplar sin prisas. También las bóvedas de la nave principal son de interés. Es una de las iglesias más bonitas de Salamanca.
