The Zila Govs restaurant is located in the Old Town right on Livu Square. Its name comes from an ancient mythical creature quite popular in Latvian folklore, translating to "Blue Cow".

In line with its unique name, the restaurant offers a wide selection of beef dishes, ranging from steaks of any doneness to roast beef and veal saddle.

The interior design features elements of loft style, imbued with a Medieval atmosphere. Rough-hewn walls, plenty of wood, soft lighting that eases you into a state of semi-slumber, and yet another culinary experiment by the head chef - Zila Govs skillfully combines all its assets, creating a beneficial effect on its guests, who soon fall in love with the place.

Gemischtes Ergebnis; das positive zuerst: die Bedienung war vorbildlich und sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Grillgemüse sehr gut, das Fleisch in Sache Qualität beim ersten Versuch hervorragend- nun das negative: obwohl Medium bestellt kam das erste Stück leider welldone; problemlos wurde dann ein neues Ribeye geliefert, dieses Mal auf den Punkt aber leider von einer aus Altersschwäche verstorbenen Kuh- total sehnig, knorpelig und fettig. Wahrscheinlich die Rache des Koches wegen der Reklamation Aber die wenigen genießbaren Stücke waren geschmacklich sehr gut. Resume : das Können ist da- a point gelingt leider nicht gut. Aber wir schauen uns das nochmal an- auch wegen dem netten Service
