The Black Magic bar is located in the very "heart" of Old Riga, hidden from casual glances in one of the alleyways. If there were an award for uniqueness and extraordinary interior design, Black Magic would undoubtedly take first place and all the victor's laurels.

Dark windows, as if made in the distant seventeenth century, a mysterious oak door behind which lies the secret of the philosopher's stone and the no less famous Riga Balsam, antiques, and many initially unnoticed details - after the first acquaintance with the bar, it's quite difficult to return to the real world with its overly modern orders. The venue's menu is entirely built around the still popular elixir, which is added not only to coffee but also to some dishes.

It looks very cool since it’s in an old building from the late 13th/early 14th century and made to look like an old brewery The prices are fair (at least for the non alcoholic beverages and cakes). However if you don’t consume alcohol you’ll have a tough time finding anything to eat. All of their cakes but two include alcohol as well as almost all of their truffles which isn’t always clear
