The Baroque-style fountain was built in 1619 by the Porto City Council. Originally known as the Fonte do Rio Frio (Cold River Fountain), it was later renamed due to popular belief in the healing powers of its water, said to be associated with Senhora das Virtudes (Our Lady of Virtues). The fountain was designed by Pantaleão de Seabra e Sousa, with inscriptions attributed to Germano Silva. It has long been regarded as having medicinal properties and remains a notable example of Porto’s historic urban water features.

Very pretty part of the park surrounding Super Bock Arena. There are some nice views of the river from here.
