I’ve walked past this café so many times while shopping and finally decided to step in. It’s a lovely little spot with genuinely friendly staff. I didn’t try their tea set yet, just went for a few slices of cake which tasty, though leaning on the sweet side. As a serious matcha drinker (I usually go for ceremonial grade at home), I had high hopes for their matcha, but it fell short. The quality wasn’t great for drinking, and even the way it was prepared wasn’t quite right. even tho owner herself made the drink but I couldn’t finish half, which i felt sry for. Still, the overall vibe was nice, and I might give it another shot, maybe for their tea set next time.

We loved our visit to The Fabulous Tearoom! Lots of afternoon teas need advance booking but at TFT we were able to walk in and order our cream tea and children's afternoon teas without prior booking! There is outdoor space at the front and back, cosy seating and a fun colourful atmosphere inside. The service was so warm, welcoming and friendly throughout. Lots of choice on the menu- the tea blends were lovely, huge pots in proper china. Scones were served warm and were delicious. The portions are generous and whatever you don't eat is popped into a box to take home! Good value for money and a great choice for children, families and we'll definitely be back!
